A NEW MILTON-FREEWATER AREA FOUNDATION WEBSITE ANNOUNCED AND SCHOLARSHIP FUND ADDED
The Milton-Freewater Area Foundation is announcing the addition of a new website and a new scholarship fund!
The Area Foundation has been successful in years past primarily due to generous estate gifts and memorial contributions from members of our community and the surrounding area. This has left a legacy for the future of Milton-Freewater. Over the years, the foundation has been gracious enough to be able to donate well over a million dollars to the Milton-Freewater area community.
The foundation now has its own website. With the volunteered assistance from David Marshall, the foundation was able to create and manage a more detailed website to share information about the Milton Freewater Area Foundation with the community. Our new website can be found at www.mfareafoundation.org.
With assistance from the Milton-Freewater School district, the Area Foundation has also created the Mac-Hi 2016 Scholarship Fund. This is a fund setup to accept donations towards Mac-Hi graduate scholarships. To get more information on the 2016 scholarship fund please visit our website. Deadlines for scholarship applications will be April 1, 2018 yet grant applications are accepted throughout the year as the committee meets 4 times a year to review grant requests (March, June, Sept, and Dec).
To make donations/contributions or apply for a grant/scholarship, you can now use our updated website. If you need more information or have questions, contact Luis Alvarez, Milton-Freewater Area Foundation Director. Luis may be reached at (509) 526-1264 or at Baker Boyer Bank Milton-Freewater Branch, located at 320 N. Columbia, Milton Freewater, OR 97862.
